Protected Health Information (PHI) handled in the course of clinical care is governed by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which is provided at your first visit.

Third parties

This site loads content from third-party providers. Google Fonts delivers the typography used across the site. Google Maps is embedded on our Home, Contact, and Locations pages to display our office location. Our Testimonials page displays Google reviews of our practice, which are retrieved from Google. YouTube videos are embedded on our Cataract Surgery page for patient education; these use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie.com) embed format. These videos do not load until you press Play and confirm. Until then, no information is sent to YouTube. Once you choose to play a video, YouTube may collect information about your viewing activity and store data in your browser. Loading any of these may connect your browser to Google or YouTube and transmit technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the page you are viewing. That information is handled under Google’s privacy policy, and these providers may set their own cookies or use browser storage on the pages where their content appears.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by contacting our office. Residents of jurisdictions with comprehensive privacy laws (including Virginia) have additional rights described in those laws.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them online.
